| So, um, Hi. It's kinda sad how most of us have neglected our xangas. I think I'm one of the worst, though . I've been informed that no one knows what I'm doing this semester...and no one knows that I'm still alive . So, yes, here I am...and here's what's been going on. If you haven't kept up with my life: basically I got really sick over break and still am sick, and they only know part of what's going on. Medical tests are fun stuff let me tell you. Especially at 7:30 AM on a Saturday morning with a cranky nurse. Good times. Other than that, I'm down to 13 credits, only working 4 hours a week, and doing no extra curriculars. Very boring. I'm slowly adding stuff back in, though. My classes this semester are: New Testament, Spanish, Foundations of Political Science, Biblical Theology of Worship, and Fitwell. NT and Worship are definitely my favorite. Dr. Bibza, the professor of NT, is my favorite...I'm determined to have him every semester. Haha, I've had him 3 semesters now, so I've heard several of his stories and jokes 3 times. They just get funnier. Worship is taught by Dr. Duguid, who is...Scottish/British/I don't know. His accent is amazing, and his brilliance surpasses that of anyone that I have met. Seriously, he rattles off Scripture and Hebrew like he's reciting his name and address. I was warned about Poly Sci. Repeatedly, I was told, "It's so boring, don't take it." Then, one person informed me that it was easy. So, foolishly, I added the class. Consequently, three days a week from 2-3, I sit and spend an hour checking facebook, checking my email, IMing, checking facebook, checking email, and so on... The professor is an intelligent, nice guy. I've heard he's great in the upper level classes...he just can't teach this Foundations course. Anyone looking into GCC, keep that in mind. And don't listen to anyone who tells you anything positive about the class. They're lying. Hum...other than school, I hang out with my friends. My roommies ROCK! We hang out with the three girls across the hall (Michelle, Crist, and Alex) and the three girls (Kristen, Karen, and Heather) above them...fun times =). Check out my facebook if you ever want to see pictures. Last semester (and when I get better) I participated in Swing Club, Warriors (Thurs. night worship), DRIVE (Drama Reaching Intercities through Visual Evangelism), and Salt Company (Fri. night worship and professor speaker). At a square dance last Sept. I met Phil, who became my swing partner and friend...and most of you know him, haha. (Isn't he an amazing dancer =) ). I see Andy and Jack almost daily in the SAC and Caitlin occasionally. I work with Luke on Mondays and sit next to him and Beks in NT =). They, along with Latte and Courtney, have sold their souls to Henry (aka the library) (into which I've only ventured once to study). Anywho, I'm starting to ramble 'cause I am quite tired...NEWSBOYS/KUTLESS CONCERT TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I'm just a bit excited . Well, I'd say that I'll post again soon, but I don't want to lie. So...I'll TRY to be more consistent on my updates. Take care, ya'll! |
